ABC VERDUN

A VIBRANT COMMUNITY HUB
LEED certified ABC Verdun Mall
in Beirut, Lebanon, was a deeply
complex undertaking which had to
be delivered in just 28.5 months.
In order to meet this squeezed
timeframe, in our role as design
and supervision lead, we switched
the structural design to precast.
Corollary, manpower levels and
costs were reduced on site, while
during the construction stage we set
up an authority-approved delivery
and traffic management plan to
ensure timely receipt of the precast
components and zero disruption to
local traffic. We drove the adoption
of BIM from the project outset and
through the operational phase (this
was the first project in Lebanon
to do so), thereby guaranteeing
efficiencies throughout the entire
asset lifecycle.
