Khatib & Alami (K&A) was a Silver Sponsor for
the first Saudi Smart Cities 2017 Conference, held at the
Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh from the 16th to the 18th of May,
under the patronage of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MoMRA).
This conference is a platform for MoMRA to realize its full
potential, bringing all the key stakeholders who are and will be
involved in the infrastructure’s modernization. This boosts
infrastructure, increases investment, designs sustainable cities and
improves quality of life for all. With the responsibility of
developing urban infrastructure and creating citizen-centric cities,
K&A’s City and Regional Planning, Infrastructure, and Geospatial
Systems Integration teams showcased their smart vision, strengths
and capabilities to help the Kingdom reach its goals.
K&A exhibited its most recent smart urban planning projects, using
Virtual Reality (VR) to help the client experience, evaluate and
experiment the design, creating a realistic scenario that responds
to client’s needs and requirements. This is yet another competitive
asset to our company in the Planning and GIS sectors.
The Saudi Smart Cities Conference, being the first of its kind in
the Kingdom, promises to provide international best practices,
state-of-the-art technologies and create an interactive dialogue to
engage citizens, youth, and women in developing the Kingdom’s future
cities.
