Under the patronage and presence of Dr.
Mustapha El Hiti (Director of REEFATO) and with the participation
and support of Nineveh Governor Nofel Al-Akub, the exhibition
brought together the Reconstruction Fund for Areas.
Affected by Terroristic Operations (REFAATO), international
consultants, and contractors to plan, propose, and undertake the
assessment and projects needed to help IDPs (Internally Displaced
Persons) return home safely.
Part of K&A’s legacy is to make a life changing difference in
improving livelihood and rebuilding cities. 11 million people are in
need of humanitarian assistance and 3 million are internally
displaced (according to OCHA http://www.unocha.org/iraq). We
couldn’t be prouder to sponsor this event in Iraq by liaising with
Governors, Donor countries’ Representatives and other stakeholders
on future collaborations.
K&A is confident to be the catalyst in
supporting IDPs' return home by improving the living conditions,
housing, infrastructure in the damaged cities and revitalizing the
various affected sectors: housing, electricity, water, roads,
bridges, health, education, and heritage.
