This study required a close coordination with the relevant Saudi Authorities and Stakeholders such as: Aramco, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Saudi Railway (SAR), Saudi Railway Organization (SRO), Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME), and King Abdulaziz City.

On the 15th of May 2017, K&A and MoT organized a workshop bringing forward K&A’s on-the-ground experience in sand mitigation on Saudi roads and railways with the presence of major contractors and consultants working with MoT.

The workshop was led by K&A’s Director of the Geotechnical & Heavy Civil Sector and the Head of Transportation in Riyadh who were the keynote speakers, sharing their experience on the assessment and modeling of sand dune regimes changes on roads and railways.
