K&A sponsors Esri East Africa User Conference
2016 and presents “The Paperless Census”.
The Eastern African community’s long-term growth prospect appears to
be solid and the main pillars for this are its increasingly
broadband based economy and the youthful population. This year the
city of Kisumu hosted the Esri East Africa User Conference 2016. The
11th edition of this important conference was inaugurated by Prof.
Jacob Kaimenyi, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Lands and Physical
Planning, Kenya. A keen supporter of progress and professional
interaction, K&A was a Bronze sponsor for this event and had a booth
that came to life with a lot of interesting discussions and
exchanges. We also presented a paper titled “The Paperless Census”.
The event was attended by hundreds of Esri GIS users from Kenya,
Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and the rest of the
world. It was an ideal platform to learn, network and share their
experiences while discovering all the new developments related to
Esri and GIS technologies. The conference featured an outstanding
composition of plenary sessions, training classes, exhibition,
seminars, and meetings. Paper and technical sessions all centered on
leveraging geospatial technology and innovative solutions for
business, government and society. |
